Stephanie Siouffi-Vareilhes

Director IATA Training (2022)

Dear Radha,
Greetings from Geneva! I am delighted to learn about the new edition of the Bird Academy coffee table book. Please accept my heartiest congratulations.

I would like to take this opportunity to recall our long time association with the Bird Group. Starting as an IATA Authorized Training Center (ATC) with the initial purpose of training personnel joining the travel and tourism industry, the Bird Academy has now grown to cover several functional areas of the aviation industry.

The ATC partnership was followed by the Accredited Training School (ATS) partnership that focuses on training personnel in Dangerous Goods Regulations. We now look forward to welcoming the Bird Academy as a CBTA (Competency Based Training & Assessment) Center in a few weeks. Last but not the least, the Bird Academy is also our first and only Regional Training Partner (RTP) that focusses on training mid to senior level professionals in the aviation industry.

IATAS Global Training Conference (GTC) has been held in many cities around the world, but I have no hesitation in saying that the New Delhi 2019 event was by far the most well-organized, well-attended and liked by the delegates. Radha's hospitality is truly amazing-it is well reflected in the culture and the staff at the Roseate.

Last but not least, I admire Radha as a business leader, especially her tireless contributions to encourage young girls to opt for aviation as a career are opening up options, and bringing in diversity and inclusion to our industry. I am proud of the fact that India provides opportunities to women in leadership-the President of the nation Mrs. Droupadi Murmu is another shining light for young girls to look upto. Once again, please accept my heartiest congratulations! And wishing you a lot of success! Yours sincerely.
